Maurice has extensive commercial experience across multiple sectors and entities, with a strong focus on private companies. Prior to developing his governance and investment career, Maurice was with PwC for 37 years, 23 as a partner.

He held numerous senior roles within the firm and was on the firm’s executive from 2000 to 2017. Maurice’s competencies include corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and financial reporting.

He has a proven track record in commercial negotiation and the development and implementation of successful strategies, working with many highly successful private business owners.

Maurice’s governance roles include chairman at Barr Burgess and Stewart Limited, Bell Group Limited, Heartland Group Limited, McVicar Building Supplies Limited and NZ Hops Limited.
